Lent season takes place in 2018 from Wednesday, February 14 to March 29. It is a time of preparation for Easter which lasts forty days excluding Sundays. While activities traditionally related to Lent often involve repentance and self-denial that could take place any time of the year, setting apart the season of Lent for this can help individuals and the church grow their faith in Jesus Christ by focusing more intensely on the life, death, and resurrection of the Lord and His impact for each individual and the church.
